Security
S³ DataSafe features 3-tiered encryption for your data beginning with a 256-bit AES before transfer over a 128-bit SSL tunnel only to be further protected with a 1024-bit AES once the backup is stored. Most of our competitors will encrypt your files once, before or after transfer. We do not simply save copies in the same location, we send a copy of your data to a completely different data center—all 10 of which are Tier III & IV rated.
Incremental Backup
Traditionally, backup software recognizes altered files and uploads the new version as a replacement. Our software seeks out what files have been changed, what binary changes were made and uploads those changes only. This way, daily backups of large files are quick and easy.
Version History
We offer UNLIMITED Version history at no detriment to your subscribed storage—every version of every file is indefinitely stored in our datacenters. The deletion of your backed-up file(s) is never automated and can only be performed by the account holder.
